Anonymous case study of an editable section system built for a content team.

  • B2B
  • WordPress / editor UX
  • 2025

Project goal

The goal was not just to ship a page. It was to build a set of sections the client could later rearrange and edit independently without constantly coming back to a developer.

Scope

  • content editor workflow review,
  • Gutenberg section library,
  • controlled layout variants,
  • front-end implementation for all section types,
  • reducing the number of ways the design could be accidentally broken.

Core challenge

Main issue

The real challenge was balancing flexibility and safety. Too much freedom creates chaos. Too little turns the CMS into a decorative object.

Business outcome

The website could grow together with content needs, while the client team was no longer blocked every time a new landing page or subpage had to be built.

Outcome
The content team gained more editing freedom while the project kept visual consistency and predictable behavior.
